Issue with emails being sent

I have a unique situation that with the abandoned cart email being sent aggressively for a product that is a pre-order. Basically I’m using 2 additional plugins for this one product. One doesn’t add the item to the cart, instead it skips directly checkout with the product and redirects (technically I guess it adds it to the cart). The second is the Bright Plugins Pre-order plugin. I guess some combo here is messing things up where everyone who is ordering this one product is getting the abandoned cart message. Any ideas what could be happening?

I think it has to do with the fact that “pre-order” was not checked off in the settings to exclude: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guP2gmP. Could that be it? (I checked it off in the screenshot).
