Issue with Elementor and its add to cart button event
-
Hello!
I am used your plugin couple of days, and I like it.
I have one issue and I can’t get over it, so I came here ??I am using Elementor (pro) to create a list of my products (loops) with the help of Elementor Custom Skin plugin. I have the “Custom Add To Cart” block (https://prnt.sc/26x9cha) in my product loop. In your plugin settings, I have the classic e-commerce tracking disabled and enhanced tracking enabled.
According to the Tag Assistant the events add_to_cart or gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC is not fired when clicking the add to cart button. When I change tracking to classic e-commerce (in your plugin settings) and click the add to cart button then the gtm4wp.addProductToCart event fires (as it should).
In other words, in the enhanced e-commerce tracking mode the events don’t fire at all on clicking add to cart button but in the classic tracking mode the event fires.Elementor does have a second option for add to cart button, “Add To Cart” (https://prnt.sc/26x9j51). When I use it, the proper events are fired in both classic and enhanced tracking modes. I use the “Add To Cart” block in the product details page where the events are fired as they should.
So, the issue is only in the “Custom Add To Cart” block when using enhanced e-commerce tracking. Otherwise, events are fired as they should. But I need this setup so this is problematic.
Please ask if you don’t understand ??
Sincerely,
JuusoThe page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
