    Hey,

I am reaching out to report a challenge I’m facing with a multisite website setup and to seek guidance for a possible solution.

    Problem Description:

After upgrading advanced ads users can’t edit ads on sites of the network.

    • Upgrade:
      Advanced-ads: 1.33.2 to 1.47.5
      Advance Ads Pro: 2.17.0 -> 2.25.0
    • Setup: We have a multisite setup where users are designated as super admins in Site 1.
    • Issue: Upon accessing other sites within the network, super admins are unable to see the ‘Edit’ or ‘Delete’ options for ads. Only the ‘Duplicate’ option is visible.
    • Goal: Our intention is to enable editing permissions for all super admins across the entire multisite network.

    Questions:

    1. Is there a specific setting or configuration that I might be overlooking which restricts these permissions?
    2. Can you provide guidance on how to grant editing and deletion permissions to all super admins across all sites in the network?

Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. If more information is needed, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your time and support.

    Best regards,

    Hi rmayer

    Thanks for reaching out.

For my knowledge, it might help to deactivate and re-activate the Advanced Ads Pro add-on once.

After this, please also test if the behavior changes while a user got the “Ad Admin” role applied. This should not be necessary, but might help here.

Since this might be connected to a paid add-on for Advanced Ads and this forum is only for plugins that are also hosted here, please reach out to our customer support as well. Thanks for understanding and we hopefully meet there.

    Best regards,
    Henning

    hey henningaa.

    Thank you for your response.

I already enabled and disabled the plugin advanced-ads and the advanced-ads-pro with no change in behavior.

What i do to make it work is creating my user on the specific site, but that doesnt scale, there are some sites and some new users every now and then so i need a solution to work with multisite.

This works well until the update of those specific versions.

I will try to contact support, but i also thing the developers of this plugin should know because that is a disrupted change for the people using multisite with superadmins.
