Issue with Displaying Private Posts as Part of Related Articles

    I have an issue where the plugin is displaying private set posts as part of the related articles at the bottom. In the link to the article, this is displaying the private post with the title “2020 Returns Are Good, but We Focus on the Long Term.”

    I do see a checkbox option to display password protected posts under the Event Categories setting, but I”m wondering if there can be an option for private posts on whether to display them or not.

    This appears to still display the post even when it’s set to “Draft” as well. Any assistance for an update would be much appreciated!

    Hello @rachfong ,

    We have done a test by making some related public posts to private and they get removed from the related posts list. So it seems to be working properly.

    Can you give us some more information so that it can help us track down the issue quickly if there is?

    1. Is it just displayed using the auto display option?
    2. Or are you using some shortcode to display the related posts?
    3. Or are you using the yarpp_related() in the template file?
    4. Can you also try disabling all other plugins temporarily one by one and check?

    adding to @aslamdoctor, have you tried to clear the Yarpp cache to see if it fixes the issue?

    The clear cache button is on the Yarpp settings page.

    Plus, have you noticed this issue for all your private posts or is it affecting only a few?

    @aslamdoctor @jeffparker We’re currently using the auto display option for the plugin.

    I just checked the post again and now it appears that the private post is no longer appearing and it left an empty space as the third related post. I just tried clearing the YARPP cache and that seemed to help. Thank you.
