Issue with Custom Image Sizes Being Resized to 100×100

    Hello,

    I am currently experiencing an issue with the Perfect Images plugin, version 6.5.1. I have created several custom image sizes for my website. However, I’ve encountered a problem where, upon generating an image, the plugin dashboard indicates that all custom sizes have been resized to 100×100 pixels, which is not the intended behavior.

    Here are the steps I’ve followed:

    1. Created custom image sizes in the plugin settings.
    2. Uploaded new images to test the custom sizes.
    3. Observed that all custom sizes are being resized to 100×100 pixels in the plugin dashboard.

    I attempted a couple of troubleshooting steps to resolve it:

    1. I changed the name of the custom size to lowercase (e.g., from “ExtraSmall” to “extrasmall”) to see if the naming convention had an impact.
    2. I altered the cropping setting for the custom sizes, switching from “no” to “center” crop, in hopes that it might affect the resizing behavior.
    3. Enable/Disable WebP
    4. Enable/Disable Retina
    5. Enable/Disable Image Threshold

    Is there a known bug in this version, or am I missing a specific setting that needs to be adjusted for the custom sizes to work correctly?

    I have observed an additional detail concerning the resizing issue of custom image sizes that might be crucial for troubleshooting.

    I noticed that the resizing of images works correctly for new uploads. However, the problem arises when I attempt to manually regenerate sizes for older media files through the Perfect Images dashboard. Every time I try to manually generate sizes for these existing media files, they are resized to 100×100 pixels, regardless of the specified custom dimensions.

    Thank you for the prompt response! I’ve updated to the latest version of the plugin as you suggested. The good news is that the issue with images resizing to 100×100 has been resolved – the images are now correctly resizing to the custom dimensions specified.

    However, I’ve encountered a new issue. When attempting to manually regenerate the size for a single image through the Perfect Images dashboard, it initiates the regeneration process for all images in the library, not just the selected one.

    I will reach out through the Contact & Support page as advised, and attach a video screenshot to illustrate this new issue more clearly.
