Issue With Critical Requests

    Hello,

    On the pages where I have embedded a video using this plugin I am seeing this unusual serial number that it’s different for each video.

    Using Goggle page insights you can see it as this:

    Avoid chaining critical requests 1 chain found
    https://www.mywebsite.com/funny-cat/

    Maximum critical path latency: 630 ms
    Initial Navigation
    /funny-cat/(www.mywebsite.com)

    Again this is only appearing on the pages using this plugin.

    I have checked pages where I have Youtube embeds and the “Avoid chaining critical requests 1 chain found” is not showing up there.

    I have no idea what these numbers are but they seem to resemble some sore of data collection format using these numbers as IDs for each video shown.

    is there a way to fix this? Maybe a quick snippet code that I can drop in functions.php ?

    I would need to see a link to your actual website in order to figure out what you’re seeing since I don’t see it on my own pages that use my plugin. Do you only see it in Google PageSpeed Insights? Can you post a live link to a page on your site that demonstrates the issue?

    Thanks for the reply.

    I am sending you to your email that I have on file a sample link to the site.

    Some more information regarding this:

    This is only taking pace when using Video.js V7.

    If you are using the video players WordPress Default or Video.js V5 (depreciated) the issue is not there.

    The only difference among these 3 is that Video.js V7 came with the add-on Freemius (we never signed in for it),

    I’ve done a lot of investigating on this issue. As far as I can tell Google PageSpeed Insights is listing Blob (Binary Large Object) hash IDs which are created and stored locally by Video.js V7 during normal operation. They are not used for data collection and the IDs are not sent to any external servers.
