I have a conflict if I have your theme activated while using Themeco’s X/Pro theme’s builder, Cornerstone. The error I receive upon launching their builder is:

“No suitable preview area found. This could happen when a third party plugin is overriding the content area.”

Is there a way to limit the plugin’s code from loading on a page if it’s not being utilized?

@lisaburger i have tried to use enfold and avada themes as i don’t have the one you mentioned but no gain. Is there a way that you can record a video so i can understand the parameters which are available in URL to differentiate the visual editing mode and normal page loading? Or you can reach me through my demo website so we can test it together.

    Sure! Here’s a video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-g–JTrTj1yCcbks8nW-SrSB1Khj4zOd/view?usp=drivesdk

And anything you need — access to this dev instance or the backup files (so you can install on your own servers), whatever you need I’m more than happy to provide to help. ?? I also have a developer license and can give you access to the theme if needed. Let’s do this and figure it out. I love the plugin and your willingness to help! -lmb

@lisaburger Video does not exist on your provided link, Please verify and share the link again.

    Thanks

I’m so sorry for the loooonnnngggg delay. I got distracted on other projects and am now coming back to this web project again.

The URLs that X Theme uses when you’re working in their visual editor are in the following format:

    domain-name.com/pro/#/content/%page-id%

For example, the page I’m working on now is: https://ccph.lisaburger.com/pro/#/content/59

Are you able to hardcode that type of url to deactivate the plugin when in the visual editor? If the page url has the string ‘/pro/#/content’ you are inside the visual editor.

@lisaburger we will surely think about it, or at least we can provide an input box for query string parameter to ignore plugin assets loading on specific pages.

@lisaburger please check the latest version with the “Developer Mode” tab. You can restrict the assets loading with query strings.
