issue with core web vitals

  • Hi,

    I have a WP multisite with 3 directory subsites in the same domain.
    The Site is included in Cloudflare, and delivers ads from Ezoic which adds a second Cloud and a speed app LEAP in beta. The server is in Cloudways with Varnish

    One of the subsites with Kadence theme is excluded from LEAP. It has in desktop green scores for core web vitals, however they are not good scores in mobile.

    I load your plugin, in the Kadence subsite with the hope that it could be helping me to get better scores for core web vitals in mobile.

    I can’t change the Ezoic caching settings because they are in use by the other subsites, however I can exclude the site from caching. I tried it but the numbers got worse.?

    I will be grateful?if you can give me any idea on how to set up?the plugin so the site performs better.

    Hi,
    Please note that this plugin will not take your core web vital scores to green from red. In fact there is no plugin to do that. Core Web Vitals are about how well your site is coded and developed following the Google Guidelines. It has nothing to do with speed.

    The only core web vital stat this plugin will help you bost is the one saying “Reduce your server response time” as with the help of this plugin your pages will be served from Cloudflare CDN.

    But outside of that, how your site is made, how much JS, images it has etc. everything has effect on core web vitals. Take a look at the following URLs from Google to understand what each metric of Core Web Vitals are and then look what are the changes you can make on your website to improve them.

    I’m getting the following issue on google webmaster for my website related to core web vital.

    CLS issue: more than 0.25 (mobile)
    LCP issue: longer than 4s (mobile)

    Any tips to fix them because I have no idea or you may redirect me to a source from where I could learn about them and implement the solution.

    I’ve already read the sources that you have mentioned above in your reply but hard to understand them for me. So if you can share any easy method with me please.

    Hi,
    core web vital itself is a pretty technical matter. CLS means that when you page starts loading something is shifting the position of the contents from where it was initially present during the initial load.

    If you have a big Hero background image it will increase your LCP. You can try having a lower resolution and little lower quality picture as the background image so that it loads quickly and also you can optimize the image further to make it load even quicker.
