Issue with Biography Text Formatting and Links in ActivityPub Plugin

    Thank you for the fantastic plugin!

    After setting up the ActivityPub plugin, I wanted to modify the Biography section of my WordPress account that is now available on the fediverse. I opened the WordPress user profile, and in the text area added by the plugin for the fediverse Biography, I entered my desired text, including line breaks. However, when I clicked the “Update Profile” button, the line breaks in the Biography disappeared.

    Is it not possible to use line breaks in the fediverse Biography text area provided by the plugin? Also, I tried to add links here by entering HTML tags like <a href="example.com">, but these were removed when I clicked the “Update Profile” button.

    Could you please help me with these issues?

    May I ask what field you have used? The “Biographical Info” of WordPress or the “Biography” in the ActivityPub section?

    Put this in the “Biography” section of ActivityPub and press the “Update Profile” button, and I will see the following without line breaks or HTML tags.

    I thought it was the spec that HTML tags and line breaks disappear, but maybe it’s just my environment?
    If so, I’ll do some more testing.
