    Hi,

It looks like “Allowed emails” on Usage Restriction tab not working properly.
I assigned a coupon to one of our customer’s email and next day, someone else used the code with a different email.

    1. I don’t know how how other customer found out the generated code.
    2. The code worked bypassing the restriction rule

I also tested on two different emails and I could use the code with non-assigned email address.

Could you please check if this is a glitch?

Update: So I found the reason why.
Person who purchased, used a different email at checkout but his login email matches with the assigned email. Still don’t know how I was able to apply the coupon when I tested with with different emails. Shouldn’t it give error message if the login email doesn’t match the assigned email?

    Hey @mediaj

Thanks for writing in. Looks like this is actually a WooCommerce core issue. Yes, it should give an error.

Based on the docs it should be this:

Allowed Emails/Email restrictions – Email address or addresses that can use a coupon. Verified against customer’s billing email. WooCommerce 3.4+ also allows you to include a wildcard character (*) to match multiple email addresses, for example, *@gmail.com would make any gmail address.

Unfortunately this is not an Advanced Coupons feature so its not something we are in control of directly. Could you raise an issue with WooCommerce?
