    Hello,
I’m contacting you because I’m having some issues with your plug-in.

I’m using “WP Fusion Lite” on my two websites: the settings are the same on both platforms and it is connected to the same ActiveCampaign account.

On the firs website it works fine, on the other website it cannot synchronize some users and it gives me the following error: “User not added to ActiveCampaign because role isn’t enabled for contact creation.” even if I selected the right user roles.

What’s the problem? Can you help me?

    Thank you

@robertad92 this probably means that whatever plugin you’re using to register the users is inserting them with a default role first, like “subscriber”, and then updating the role in the next step.

If Subscriber isn’t enabled for sync with WP Fusion, then the contact won’t get created in ActiveCampaign, since this was the user’s role at the time of signup.

To fix that, just enable Subscriber (or any other potential default roles) for sync from Settings >> WP Fusion >> Advanced >> Limit User Roles.

    Hello,
thank you for your prompt reply.

Yes, I have already selected the subscriber role into the “Limit User Roles” field.
I also tried to enable all user roles, but the issue remains.

The two websites have the same structure and settings, the same plugins and the same layout. So I don’t understand why on one website it works fine and on the other it doesn’t.

    Thanks

In that case it’s also possible the user is being initially inserted with no role ??.

Can you clear out the Limit User Roles setting entirely? That will let all users sync to the CRM, regardless of role.

    Hello,
thank you so much for your suggestion.

Honestly I don’t think the issue is only related to the user role, because the plugin was unable to sync to the ActiveCampaign account only some users.

Anyway I left the Limit User Roles field empty and it seems to work fine, but sometimes I get the following error: “No contact ID for user. Failed to apply tag(s)”

Do you know what may be the reason for this error?

    Thank you!

“No contact ID for user. Failed to apply tag(s)” means that WP Fusion tried to apply tags to a user, but they don’t have a contact record in ActiveCampaign, so it failed.

If you want every user on your site to have an AC contact record, you can run a one-time Export Users operation from the Advanced settings tab: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/tutorials/batch-operations/#export-users

    Hello,
I’m really sorry to bother you, but I still can’t solve the problem.

I contacted the ActiveCampaign support and they told me that you should have the necessary API logging to determine exactly what caused the issue.

Can I contact you privately or via email?
I’d like to send you the full AC support message.

    Thank you

    Hi @robertad92 ,

Unfortunately we can’t provide that level of support for free users, all support has to go through these public forums.

You can enable HTTP API logging in the WP Fusion settings: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/getting-started/activity-logs/#http-api-logging

This will show you all API calls and their responses.

If you can catch the error happening, please post a screenshot here of the logs (with any personal information removed) and I can let you know if anything comes to mind.

    Best
    Jack
