Issue with A3 Lazy Load and MediaPress

    Hello,

    I implemented a lazy load solution on my site. I’m using the plugin A3 Lazy Load and I’ve noticed that if I install MediaPress and A3 Lazy Load along side each other, the images on my site will not lazy load. I think this might be a configuration issue with A3 or the caching plugin I use: W3 Total Cache.

    My prime suspsect would be some sort of conflict between the image handling. Does MediaPress do anything that would conflict with A3 Lazy Load or other lazy load plugins? I’m going to try a few others, to test this out a bit more but I certainly hope I can use A3 and MediaPress along side each other.

    I am looking at it. I am not sure of the cause at the moment. It seems A3 is quiet popular and I will be happy to make sure they work together.

    Hi Again,
    I checked the code of A3 Lazy Loading. I am sorry but At the moment, It won’ Work for MediaPress.

    A3 lazy loading needs the html content containing images and filters it to add a few classes/data attributes for lazy loading.

    In MediaPress, we use template files and provide the src not the complete image. In future, I will think a little more about it and add it in the plugin. The downside of doing that is limiting the theme author’ control over template.

    I’m going to look into other lazy loading solutions and try to find something that will work with MediaPress.

    For now I’m going to use the plugin “Lazy Load” by battmoo and Automattic. It’ll get the basic function of lazy loading done.

    A3 looks like a very nice project. I liked it. Too bad it conflicts. But I’m not going to make suggestions on how to handle your project. I’m sure you and BuddyDev have a solid understanding of it and can best decide what direction you want to go in.

    Did you add A3 support? Seems to be working. Otherwise, I forgot what I did to resolve this. But I was able to get it to work.
