• I got the email announcement this morning that I had been upgraded to 3.8.3When I attempt to edit my site-in-progress, I get this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare install_wtwp() (previously declared in D:\Hosting\12519215\html\wp-content\install.php:36) in D:\Hosting\12519215\html\wp-content\install.php on line 93

    Please help?

  • Disable all custom themes (use a default WordPress theme) and plugins and see if things work. Then enable your custom theme and see if things work – if it doesn’t, the custom theme is the issue. If your custom theme works, move on to enabling your plugins one by one. After enabling a plugin, test the site. If things work, move on to enabling the next plugin. If it breaks, note which was the last plugin you enabled and contact the plugin developer for support.

I am getting the same message.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare install_wtwp() (previously declared in D:\Hosting\11261898\html\musicandspirits\wp-content\install.php:36) in D:\Hosting\11261898\html\musicandspirits\wp-content\install.php on line 93

I don’t know how to disable custom themes if I can’t actually log into my wp-admin to manage the site. What can I do?

FTP in or use your server’s control panel File Manager and find the wp-contents/themes folder and add “-old” to all folders of non-default WordPress themes. Do the same for all the plugins. This disables the themes and plugins.

Hello! My sites were updated too a few days back. My sites (https://www.waisttrimmers.org and https://www.blogging-guide.net) are still online but my problem is this: Everytime I try going to my admin panel (wp-admin) the page says “404 Not Found.” I haven’t encountered this kind of message before my sites were updated. Please help!

Just a followup message: I just discovered now that even my sites greatfamilyliving.info and https://sportsequipment.esy.es have the same problem too! They were automatically updated too ?? Please help!
