Issue when updating plug-in

Hi.
Since december I have had this problem, every time I have updated the translate press plugin.
The language switching buttons stop working on any of my sub pages, and only works on the start page.
the rest of the pages still exist in the translated version, I go to the manually by putting /en/ in the url, but the switching buttons don’t do anything.
Every time I have tried I have returned my website to it’s latest backup to get it working again.
Last time I tried was a week ago.
