    Hello good Morning.

I′m installing Anti-malware plugin on daily basis just to perform a complete scan of a wp site. The site is installed with wordfence and iThemes plugin as well.

Today I experienced an issue and was not able to run the plugin Anti-Malware. The Anti-Malware plugin was installed and activated (in principle) ok but no dashboard associated to the Anti-Malware plugin is displayed and though no chances for accesing the scan and other features of anti-Malware.

Per email the received message is: …

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall.

No other new issues with the site has been seen. This is new and has not been experienced neither yesterday nor days before. I wonder if a potential conflict arouse after latest version of Anti-Malware (i see it has been recently issued)

I′ll appreciate any comments / help.

    Thanks in advance

Thank you for reporting this issue. I would be more than happy to help you resolve this but I will need some more information. I did just release a new plugin update yesterday and it might be possible that the new update has a conflict with something on your site but I have not received any other reports like this. I have also installed and tested this new release on a few of my own sites for testing and I have not been able to recreate the issue you have described. Can you please relay some more details about your situation so that I can try to recreate this error and fix it?

What version of WordPress and PHP are you running on this site?

Have you updated the plugin on any other sites and have they also had this issue?

Can you please check the error_log files on your server to see what the error actually is?

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need to convey any info that you don’t want posted on this public forum.

Thank you Eli for your quick response ! Let me try to summarize what I′ve seen.

    ■ wp site A (my original report): WordPress version 6.1.1. Active theme: Astra (version 3.9.4). PHP version 8.1.11. As I mentioned the plugin Anti-Malware pass ok installation and activation but after click on plugin icon → no dashpoard to manage … only an error message that arrived to site’s administrator. Per private message I can send you details of the errors.

Since I’m doing this operation (plugin install and SCAN) on a daily basis is that it was a bit strange the issue today.

    ■ wp site B (another site -WP 6.1.1 PHP 8.0.26- that I tested after original issue). Installed and activated Anti-Malware plugin ok and runed the SCAN →OK.

    ■ wp site C (another site -WP 6.1.1 PHP 8.0.26- I use not so frequently for testing and building things ). Installed and activated Anti-Malware plugin BUT when i go to the Antimalware icon and make click → No dashboard + an error message and There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. + Error details. Per private message I can send you details of the errors.

NOTE: wp site B and C are located at the same hosting while wp site A is located in a different hosting.

    thanks again

Ok, so it’s working on one of your sites but not on another that is on the same server, same version of PHP and WordPress too. So it mus be something else that does not have to do with the hosting environment.

Maybe it is some other plugin that is conflicting with mine. Any similarities between site A and site C which are different from site B might be a helpful clue.

But the absolute biggest clue will be found in the details of the error message. Can you please check the error_log files on your server to tell me what the error actually is? This should provide answers to enable us to solve this problem.
