I’m wondering if there is a way to make it that the “last contacted” field gets updated no matter what activity you input in the “logs”. Right now, if I put in a note, or a facebook, or a twitter, the date does not get updated to today’s date. And since we rely on that field for staff to grab clients who haven’t had any activity on for over a month, it’s essential that when a note is added, that date is also changed.

  • The “last contacted” field is only updated when you have contacted the contact through Jetpack CRM in some way.

I’d recommend using the “last updated” field instead, which is based on the last time anything was updated in the contact, including adding a note or adding/updating their social media links.

That’s an issue because it constantly resets the date everyday for woocommerce customers. I don’t want that.

    Hi @julialucio,

The “Last updated” date includes events from WooSync, meaning that customers who placed an order will be updated synced as Jetpack CRM contacts, and thus updated in “Last updated” field.

In other words, as far as WooCommerce activities go, the “Last updated” field should only update users who have new changes in their WooCommerce orders.

Would you explain your use case a bit more? It sounds like you don’t necessarily want to include WooCommerce activities in “Last Updated” field, is that right?

You’ve previously mentioned that you’re using “Last Contacted” field to determine clients without any activity for over a month. What kind of activities did you want to include besides adding a note to the Contact? Are there any CRM activities you do not want to include (such as WooCommerce activities)?

We’d like to understand what your workflow is, so we can advise you better :). Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Well I’m not sure why then, but every day, all the woocommerce customers “last updated” are showing as today’s date, despite the fact that they didn’t buy or do anything to their order.

When I enter a “log” if it’s anything other than a call, an email, a mail or a meeting, that date does not update. If I enter a note, it doens’t change the “last contacted” field. Same if I add a facebook or a twitter…

Per your message: I do want to include the woocommerce activities, but only for certain products, not all of them.

    Thoughts?

    Hi @julialucio,

Well I’m not sure why then, but every day, all the woocommerce customers “last updated” are showing as today’s date, despite the fact that they didn’t buy or do anything to their order.

We asked our development team about this, and they clarified that “last updated” is working as originally intended: it indicates the last time the Jetpack CRM Contact was refreshed upon sync. Since WooSync checks on orders on a cron, it will continue to refresh the contact (at least the 50 orders) and update that value.

That said, “last updated” is not likely what you’re looking for here.

When I enter a “log” if it’s anything other than a call, an email, a mail or a meeting, that date does not update. If I enter a note, it doens’t change the “last contacted” field. Same if I add a facebook or a twitter…

We have consulted our development team about this as well, and they’ve confirmed that currently, the “last contacted” feature is limited to only a couple of conditions and does not include updating Facebook or Twitter yet.

Currently, our development team is actively expanding this feature to include Call, Email, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Once this feature is implemented, you should be able to use “last contacted” feature to keep track of your Contacts (though, “last contacted” doesn’t include WooCommerce activity).

To stay on top of when new features like the above are added to Jetpack CRM, you can signup to our mailing list if you haven’t yet:

    https://jetpackcrm.com/keep-up-to-date/

We send it on a regular basis, sharing all the latest updates, core releases, bugs fix, and new features.

    Thanks!

    Hi @julialucio,

I wanted to let you know that the latest version of Jetpack CRM (v.5.8.0) includes the fix to the issue you reported. The latest version of Jetpack CRM fixed the issue with Facebook, Twitter, Feedback, and Other Contact log types, so they all now update last contacted timestamp.

    I hope that helps!
