After updating the WP Project Manager plugin from 0.4.6 to 1.3.2, there is a prompt to update the WP Project Manager database. When I try to update the database by clicking on the button, I just end up with a blank white page and nothing happens.

I noticed that all the previous projects I had with the WP Project Manager plugin are all gone after updating. I’m assuming the database update is done so previous projects aren’t lost?

I just tried the 1.3.3 update and the issue remains.

Hi everyone. I’m in the same boat as intrawebsdeveloper.

I’ve been using WP Project Manager for almost a year and love it. It contains a lot of mission critical information.

I updated from 0.4.6 to 1.3.3 the other day. After the update, I was prompted to upgrade my data on each of my sites (I’m running WPMU).

Each time when I would click on upgrade data, nothing would happen. The page would begin to load but then stopped loading on a blank white page.

I deactivated the plugin and reactivated it hoping this would help. It did not. Now I no longer even see the button to try to upgrade my data and I still don’t see any of my data.

I’m very much looking forward to a solution.

@everimproving, to get back your data, replace the 1.3.x version in your wp-content/-plugins/ folder with the 0.4.6 version.

@intarwebsdeveloper, thanks for the reply. I’m connected to my site via FTP. I’ve found the folder for WP Project Manager, wp-content>plugins>wedevs-project-manager, but where do I find the 0.4.6 version to replace it with?

    Thanks!

@everimproving, Most plugin developers have older versions listed under the “Developers” tab but for whatever reason this plugin doesn’t. You can still download it from Github however – https://github.com/tareq1988/wp-project-manager/archive/v0.4.6.zip

@intarwebsdeveloper, got it thank you! I’m relatively new at this. So should I deactivate 1.3.3 and uninstall, and then install 0.4.6? And then my data will appear in my dashboard? Thanks again for your help and fast replies!

@everimproving, you shouldn’t need to deactivate or uninstall anything. Just unzip the file you downloaded and completely replace the “wedevs-project-manager” folder that is in the wp-content/plugins/ folder with the 0.4.6 version. That’s what I did to roll back the plugin version and I didn’t have any issues, also my previous data was still there.

@intarwebsdeveloper, worked liked magic! Thanks so much for your help. I’ll wait to hear @wedevs Support before installing the update. I imagine a 1.3.4 is in the works.

We are working for a fix. You can install the update without a problem for the time being.

Thanks Tareq! I’m going to wait until the fix is available. I don’t want to install the update and then not be able to access my data again.

I had the same issue. Here is what I did:

    Try this:

    1) The Upgrade botton after installing the New Version; deactivate plugin and reactivate

    2) No Project in the list? All projects is set to ‘not active’, first you select to show ‘all’, then you have to select ‘Restore’ on every project to activate

    3) Pagination on project overview does not work due to the 10 Project limit in the free version. Front page pagination Works fine, since there is no 10 project limit there..

Ha! 10 Project limit in the free version of 1.3.x? Looks like I’ll be sticking with 0.4.6 for now.

I guess the author must tell us if the limit is fixed at 10, or if I made a mistake about this..
If there is a limit, I guess the limit exist in v 0.4.6 to..

I’m using 0.4.6 with 22 projects. Maybe the pagination links are just broken in 1.3.x .
