Issue syncing mailchimp to woocommerce

    Hey guys having extreme issues trying to sync wooCommerce to MailChimp. I am stuck in a forever sync mode.It’s been in this state for a week now. The store is quite large so I am using the CLI and checked to see if there was any issues there and didn’t see any.

    I have tried multiple audiences of different sizes as well to see if that would help but nothing seems to be working. Below are all our details and current log.

    Plugin version – 2.2.2
    Hosting – Siteground (shared)
    PHP version – 7.2.20?
    Cache plugin – SG Cache
    Tried multiple uninstalls and reinstalls.

    I am having also the same issues. But I don’t see anything else malfunctioning.

    What can be causing this? Any idea?

    Also experiencing this issue, and syncing super slow….like two weeks slow…

    I am encountering the same issue too. In fact, I removed all my orders and just the products inside. It says the product sync is completed and the orders sycn is halted. But the status is forever Syncing.

    I am also using the CLI method. How can we force-resync?

    @darnpunk if you go to your sync tab, then reload the page with &resync=1 you’ll see the re-sync button and it will start everything over from scratch.

    Can you please try that, and let the CLI continue to process things for you? Pretty sure that’s all you need and it will re-sync everything as planned.

    @vitaminmike we’ve seen a lot of requests coming over when hosting with Siteground. Have you checked with them about your CPU cap at all – and if they have any detected site outages due to this?

    @ryanhungate Thanks, that seems to work. It looks completed now. Just one more thing, the total number of products synced seems off from the products in my list. Is there a way to check in Mailchimp backend what is synced?

    Just to update, I disconnected my store and reconnected back. The numbers look alright now. But here’s a few things to note.

    I noticed running the tasks via WP CLI every minute via cron job seems to have some issues. What I saw in the logs is that every minute when cron tries to run the tasks, there is this “Currently running in another process. Error”

    My guess is when it first runs, it doesn’t exit until the max_time is met. For example, if I run manually the CLI without cron it shows this:

    queue listen process_id [9984] :: max_time [1800] :: memory limit [33554432000]

    I assume after 1800 seconds, this queue process then quits. And only then when cron tries to run the queue listen, it will work.

    If it’s less than 1800 seconds, that error above “Currently running in another process” will keep on showing up.

    Is this normal? Should the cron task be run every 1800 seconds?

    Im having the same issue since the beginning of September. Not syncing and customers are not added to my mailchimp newsletter. The debug code shows the same error as above.

    @darnpunk thanks for reporting back. This is very normal behavior. Basically the log is showing you that your cron TRIED to initiate the background worker, but since it was already running, it says ‘no need to start again’ and closes out on it’s own. I would keep the cron schedule the same because in the case where a worker process got shut down unexpectedly it would catch it and respawn for you. Basically you’re all good here ??

    @kristoferlse can you please open up a new ticket and provide us with a log to debug?
