    Hello @tmora

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

I just tried to create a no order on your site, but am not encountering the issue you are. I am testing as a guest user, but see the popup and assume the payment would also work out if I would continue. Please see my situation on this screenshot.

Did you already resolve this issue, or is the issue not related to the guest user situation you described? If you are still seeing this issue, you may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts.

Please let us know how what your status is and if you require further support from our end after testing.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hi @joostvandevijver

Thank you for your message! We probably don’t understand each other.

There is no problem if the user is registered or logged in and clicks on the PayPal button (it works fine, we are testing it on demo accounts).

The problem is when the user puts the goods in the checkout – checkout and presses the PayPal payment without logging in and without registration – an error message appears. In my opinion, the error message “returnig customer or new registration” should appear instead of “Something went wrong. Please try again or choose another payment source.”..

When we switch to PayPal Standard, it works fine. As soon as the customer wants to buy and is not logged in or registered and presses the PayPal button – the error message “Register or Log in.. will be displayed.

    Thanks

    Hello @tmora

I think I do understand the issue, but when I test your checkout page, I am not encountering the issue you reported. It could be that you are using the old plugin, but as far as I saw, you seem to be using our plugin (PCP) on the site you linked in your initial request. My test was done when not being logged in (/guest mode), so I am not sure what else I should do in order to reproduce the issue you are reporting? When you tested this, did you deactivate the older PayPal plugin?

If you need to share other details with me to allow me to reproduce this issue, but you rather not share it publicly, you can also open a private ticket via our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

Please let me know how we can reproduce the issue or how you want to continue this support request.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hi @joostvandevijver

    Thanks.

I think we solved the problem, our web developer colleague set the filter in to “TRUE” add_filter(“woocommerce_paypal_payments_basic_checkout_validation_enabled”,”__return_true”);, and in case someone wants to buy (after clicking the PayPal button) without logging in or without registering… an error message “register or log in” will pop up.

I hope it’s ok like this.

    Thanks,Tomas

    Hello @tmora

Good to hear you found a solution for this on your site. Do keep a close eye on your orders for the time being. The checkout validation can cause problems with Alternative Payment Methods, so this solution could cause other issues. For now, I would advise to just keep an eye on this and possible test your solution on a staging site to verify the fix.

I will mark this as resolved, but you can still reopen it (or reply to it) if you have more questions or run into issues with this fix.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
