    Hi!
We are having an issue with sending post notifications and would like to know if you could help us.

When we schedule two different posts for the same date and similar time, only one of them is sent, and in the mailpoet configuration it is to send notifications immediately. is there any way to solve it?

    Hi there @heronhebling,

Just to confirm, you are referring to the following situation, correct?
    – You have a MailPoet Post Notification email set to send out immediately
    – When you schedule two posts to be published at a similar time, the MailPoet post notification only includes one of the two posts

When you say “similar time”, how close are the two? Is it a matter of minutes?

Please send screenshots of two posts where this occurred (from under Posts > All Posts list), and also a screenshot of the Post Notification email configuration.
Is the post notification set to Include/Exclude specific categories or tags? Please send a screenshot of how that’s configured too.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply here.

    Hi!
Thank you so much for the feedback, here we go!
    -Yes, sending is as immediate
-The time set between one post and another was between 3-5 minutes
-No, the setting is for all posts, regardless of category or tag.
-IMPORTANT: Mail poet always sends the last scheduled post (published later)

I’m sending several prints with the information you asked for.

    Tks again for your feedback!

    Hi there @heronhebling,

Thank you for confirming all of that and sending over the screenshots!

So, I tried reproducing the issue on my site:
    – Post Notification set up to send immediately, no category/tag restrictions, and set to send up to 5 posts (just in case it might try to combine closely scheduled posts)
    – Scheduled a post to send at 10:35, and another one at 10:38

However, when the time came, I got each post notification email from MailPoet about 1 minute after the post published:

So, it does appear to be working as expected on my personal site.

If you click on the post notification email’s “View History” button, do you see entries for every post? Or just for the later scheduled post in each case?

    Hello again,

One thing came to mind: I see that your Post Notification subject is static (i.e. doesn’t change based on post title, date, or anything else). It’s possible some email clients may consolidate all emails with the same subject from same sender into a thread, and might “collapse” earlier ones by default (you said you always get the later post) so you might not see them at first.

If you double check your email client, and open up one of the Post Notification emails, do you see multiple messages (may need to click to expand earlier ones)?

You could try adding a dynamic part to the email subject using a shortcode as described in our guide below and see if that causes them to appear separately in the client:

    Hi!
    Thanks again for the reply!

So, when sending, only one of the scheduled emails appears (the latest one), as shown in the image below (in this example we programmed one for 07:00 and another for 07:05.

On the issue of the mailer joining the emails with the same title, this does not happen on the server, if I send two emails at the same time with the same title and sender, they are received separately.

    Thanks again!

    Hi there @heronhebling,

I apologize for the late reply.

The next time the issue happens, can you please go to MailPoet > Help > System Status and check if you see both Post Notification emails sent, or do you see only one in the table?

Can you please share a screenshot of this page?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi! No problems!

I will upload the image as soon as the problem occurs again.
Just to be sure, would the image be like the one below?

    Hi again,

Just to be sure, would the image be like the one below?

So I think that the image has already been deleted by snipboard.io because I cannot access.

Having said that, I will now close this thread and please open up a new one (referencing this for context) if you need further help.

    Cheers
