    Hi there,

I’m attempting to add multiple events to my calendar, however (after the first event) when I publish the event or save it as a draft, all of the details reset to default.

So far I’ve noticed that date, time, and location aren’t preserved.

I’ve only been able to successfully publish one event. When I attempt to view subsequent events that I’ve published, it 404s every time. In my WP editor, it shows that I have two events, however, the second doesn’t show up on the /events/ page.

Any help addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated. All of my plugins and my wordpress deployment are up to date.

    Thanks,
    Barron

It looks like it was some incompatibility with the Gutenberg Block Editor that wouldn’t allow me to save or publish events and event details.

It’s working now, but this issue should likely continue to be explored.

    Hi,

I have the same problem after an upgrade to WP Version 5.1.1–de_DE and Events Calendar Version 4.8.2. I used the “Disable Gutenberg” before, and then the Events Calendar worked fine. I also tried the Classic Editor, yet the error remains the same:

I cannot create or update events. As described by brosboro, date, time, and location aren’t preserved. In fact, the date is set to the current date and the event is not displayed (404).

@brosboro: What made it work again for you?

    Any help is appreciated.

    okay,

this sounds weird, but this is how I managed to work around the problem:

    1. _enable_ Gutenberg for Events Calendar
    2. try to edit the event that would not display the date, time, location. In fact, you cannot, because there are no event calendar specific fields except for the ones in the side bar, but never mind.
    3. _disable_ Gutenberg again.
All of a sudden, changes to existing events, creating duplicates etc. are again possible, at least that what it looks like at the moment.

HTH anyone who is as baffled as I am…
