issue saving profile while using wp-email plugin

when updating the /plugin/ page, which uses the [theme-my-login] shortcode it loads the wp-email’s /emailpopup/ form (in /plugins/wp-email/email-popup.php) and doesn’t save the profile information.
Wondering if anybody else has had as similar issue.Doesn’t look like this forum is very active from the plugin dev but maybe somebody else has had the issue.
