While validating a page structured data in the Google tool I discovered an issue.

Currently the plugin generates more than one FAQ Page for the same URL.

This was accepted until a few days, but today is presenting error.

Google no longer accepts that a url has more than one FAQ Page.

All questions and answers from a URL must be nested in the same FAQ Page.

    Hi,
    we’re releasing an update tonight!
In addition to a few minor adjustments, you can also answer several questions within a block, so that it meets the new Google requirements.

Thank you very much for the hint!

    Hi,

    Ok.

    Thanks!

There is a problem with tinyMCE: it is not possible to make a properly functioning solution with multiple FAQ work. Who uses #Gutenberg: you can download the current version from gitlab and upload the files manually – multiple FAQs already work ?? https://gitlab.com/webwirtschaft/structured-content/

Hello, we are using Avada/Fusion Builder and have found that, with multiple faq, the structured data is not getting verified in Search Console:

    Duplicate field “FaqPage”

Are you saying that your plugin will only work with the latest Gutenberg?

    Hi @gorbo,

The plugin is great but I can only use it once the multiple FAQ for a single URL is fixed for tinyMCE.

Please let us know once it’s fixed.

    Thanks!

This should be mentioned on the description of the plugin.
You mention that it works fine with TinyMCE and Gutenberg, which is obviously not correct for FAQ.

I had to go back and remove all the FAQ I created…

    Hi,
it worked fine, but about 2 weeks ago Google changed its way of interpreting JSON-LD.

The fix took some time, cause in TinyMCE no dynamic shortcodes work. A shortcode can only interpret a fixed thing. But multiple questions are dynamic (1 – n questions & answers).

That’s why we decided to offer two shortcodes in TinyMCE now:

    – Single FAQ
    – Multi FAQ

If your using Gutenberg and you u want to answer multiple questions on one page, just insert multiple FAQs within a block (NOTE: multiple questions within a block – not multiple blocks on one page)

    So check out v1.3.0.

    Greetings and happy optimizing ??

    Hi there,

I think there may be some issues with the Multi FAQ shortcode not working properly for TinyMCE?

Or alternatively, is there any support material on how to implement it?

    Many thanks

Everything seems to be working great with the new Multi-FAQ system!

Thanks @gorbo (and the others) for the great work!

@howardayris please provide some more infos:

    – you’re using normal TinyMCE or a PageBuilder?
    — which PageBuilder?
    – which version of WP & PHP is in use?

    Known problems & solution
    – please delete cache and place the new shortcode “Multi FAQ”
    – if the shortcode is pasted manually OR within some PageBuilders please check the quotation marks. Sometimes PageBuilders format them incorrect. Replace them with the one on your keyboard.

    Greetings, Gordon

    Hi Gordon,

Viacon.in is a custom theme and we are not using any page builder.

    Here is the details:

    WordPress Version- 5.2.2

    PHP version – 7.1.30

    Please check the source code:

[sc_fs_faq html=”false” headline=”p” img=”” question=”What is internet marketing?” img_alt=”” css_class=”” ]It is the use of internet-connected electronic devices like tablets, smartphones, and computers to reach out to people through marketing.[/sc_fs_faq]

    Here is the post- https://www.viacon.in/blog/internet-marketing/

Can you please guide me how to use FAQ Page properly?

    Thanks,
    Mashum

    Hi @mashum

i’ve tested the shortcode: it works but there is a problem with wrong formatted quotation marks:

[sc_fs_faq html="false" headline="p" img="" question="What is internet marketing?" img_alt="" css_class="" ]It is the use of internet-connected electronic devices like tablets, smartphones, and computers to reach out to people through marketing.[/sc_fs_faq]

All i’ve done is to correct them – just delete them and type in new ones. This can sometimes happen with the TinyMCE.

    Greetings, Gordon

    hi @gorbo

I am still not able to get Multiple FAQ options after updating the plugin.

    (@gorbo)

    @hemant-mendiratta try these steps

    – deactivate the plugin
    – delete all caches
    – activate the plugin

If this does not work, please provide more infos:
    – you’re using normal TinyMCE or a PageBuilder?
    —– which PageBuilder?
    – which version of WP & PHP is in use?
