    Hello

I use AA plugin on my multisite network, so – I have it network activated, all is OK on all websites on network, except one – after ad is created, there is no EDIT or delete button (link) in ads section – only available is duplicate option.

Can you help me with this? Again – same settings on all websites on network, nothing different.

    Thank you

    Hi Studio387,

    thanks for reaching out.

What do you mean by “ads section”? The so-called “quick actions” below the ad title on the ad overview page that show up when you hover over the title?

Could you test for plugin conflicts by disabling all other plugins and see if any of them might interfere with that section?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Yes – this: The so-called “quick actions” below the ad title on the ad overview page that show up when you hover over the title.

Could you test for plugin conflicts by disabling all other plugins and see if any of them might interfere with that section? Already did, disabled all plugins, everywhere works except this website on network.

No PHP errors, no script errors, no console notices – nothing.

    Hey Studio387,

    thanks for your feedback.

That is strange. I was in charge of changing the ad overview UI recently and can neither reproduce such an issue nor have I met it before. Could any custom code be attached to your theme or another place doing that?
Is it the same in another browser?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Yes, I know it is strange…almost non-real. No, no custom code in theme (same child theme for all sites on network) or anywhere else. Same issue on Opera, FireFox, Chrome…and I feel you, because this error is almost impossible to have it ?? Surreal.

I don’t know what to do – I am developer too and love your plugin, never found any error in style or code, and now – also no errors.

Like…ads are locked for editing ?? and even new “dummy” – after creation – can’t edit or delete

You can still edit or delete ads on the ad edit page, which you should be able to reach by clicking on the ad name.
If not, then my guess is an issue with capabilities. We have done some work here lately, which has become even more complicated on multisites.
Is it possible that the user on that one site might have a slightly different capability setup with ads?

We added a new option for this as well. Only super admins should see it under Advanced Ads > General: “Add the unfiltered_html capability to user roles on multisite”.

Is this the same on all sites?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Yes, that setting is same on all sites.
No, I can’t edit ads at all, non-clickable element ?? I can’t click on ad, no links below ad title, nothing

Same user on all sites with same settings

    Hi Studio387,

    thanks again for your feedback.

I tried to reproduce a scenario like this but couldn’t. Please confirm the following before I forward this to my team to take a look at the code:

    – you are logged in with a super admin account on the problematic page and are also registered there as an admin
    – you can create new ads, but not edit these ads right away, i.e., access the ad edit screen
    – the previous ads were created by you with the above mentioned account
    – there is or was no plugin to manage user capabilities and roles installed
    – you use the latest version of Advanced Ads and no Advanced Ads add-ons

Which options are selected to allow unfiltered HTML? This option is on the main site under Advanced Ads > Settings > General.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

OK, here are my answers, by same order as your questions:

    – yes
    – correct
    – yes
    – no, no such plugin at all
    – yes, latest version
    – no, no addons

Non-selected, on all sites and on this one, as well

    Thank you

    Thanks for sending the answers!
Unfortunately, we can still not think of a cause for this.

Please disable Advanced Ads (not deleting) and activate it again. This should reset the user capabilities.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi

I disabled plugin on whole network, then enabled it – all works well, the same – except – same issue on same website. Strange…idk what to do

    Hi Studio387,

we have brainstormed about this but have no idea what could cause the different behavior or how to debug it. Based on the information about your setup, the case is clear, and you should have the same access to your ads on all sites.

Maybe another idea: you could create another super admin account and see how it behaves on one of the sites where you have access to ads and on the one where you don’t.

If it also shows the same behavior, then please install a plugin that shows you user role capabilities and check if there are any differences between these sites.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Studio387,

have you seen my last suggestion and had a chance to create and test another admin account?

    Thanks,
    Thomas
