Issue in git to upload file and showing error

    Hi,
    We are uploading file through gitwhen try to add the plugins in git it is showing this error-
    I am not able to commit in dev3.it is showing some error[dev3@staging www]$ git add wp-content/plugins/internal-links/
    fatal: Not a git repository: wp-content/plugins/internal-links/freemius/../../.git/modules/src/freemius

    What is the issue and how we can solve the issue?
