    Hi,

I’ve an issue with an Elementor wigdet (should show certain selected posts, but shows nothing) witch looks like is caused by the plugin says Elementor-support. Here are infos from Elementor support:
Upon further investigation, it looks like the issue is caused by the plugin, Ultimate Category Excluder. If I temporarily deactivate it, the manual selection works correct.
It seems to be messing with the Posts widget’s query. Since we do not have control over this plugin’s code, it would be best to contact the mentioned plugin’s developers regarding this so they could check the issue for you and ensure compatibility with Elementor.

    UCE version: 1.1
    PHP version: 7.3.22-1+ubuntu18.04.1+deb.sury.org+1
    WordPress version: 5.5.3
    Theme: GeneratePress is version 3.0.2
    Number of categories is: 9

Hope you can solve the issue.

    Thank you. Barbara

Sorry, but I don’t use Elementor so this issue isn’t something I’m familiar with.

How do you mean that? Are only known bugs fixed? Do you know that a lot of people use Elementor and then none of them can actually use your plugin?

Bugs related to core WordPress are prioritized and fixed. And security issues or the like are addressed quickly too.

However, incompatibilities with the tens of thousands of plugins and themes are addressed if they’re something I can reproduce and when I have time to do so.

Hi, Marios, I really love the Ultimate Category Excluder Plugin.

But my only challenge is if you exclude a post from homepage, provided one of its categories is excluded, the post wouldn’t show up on the homepage. I want the exact opposite.

Let’s just say a post about “How to make dog food” belongs to 2 categories; pet and DIY. ‘Pet’ category was excluded from homepage, and ‘DIY’ category was left unchecked (not excluded).

With these settings, the “How to make dog food” topic would be absent on homepage.

But how can I make the topic appear on homepage when it also belongs to another category that was not excluded from the homepage?

    Thanks.
