    Hi there,

loving how this works but I am having difficulty displaying certain twitter feeds on the site despite the fact that the settings say that the account is connected. I am getting ‘sorry, no tweets were found’ but if i use a different account it appears fine

Are there any settings at the twitter end that could be making this happen? have you any other ideas?

    thanks in advance.

    Hi niallw,

Sorry to hear you have had problems with the plugin.

Other similar problems have been down to character encoding issues corrupting the format of the tweet data. The “Sorry, No Tweets Found” now really means “The data is not in the expected format”. I have noted to update this.

Could you give me the screen_name of the account which doesn’t work and I will look to see if I can work out what is causing the issues.

    Hi niallw,

I have just released an update (0.7.2) which I hope addresses this issue. I would be very grateful if you could give it a try and let me know how it goes.

If that doesn’t work I have setup a debugging version which you can get here:

Kebo Twitter Feed – Debug Version of 0.7.2

This will email me the data which is not in the expected format and allow me to resolve the issue quickly.

Sorry for the hassle this issue has caused.

    Hi niallw,

It took until version 0.9.x, but the character encoding issue was finally fixed. It was caused by the way WordPress stores data in transients/options not being compatible with Unicode characters.

I now manually serialize the data before saving and decode it after fetching it, using json_encode and json_decode.

I hope you will give the plugin another chance, as it should work flawlessly now. If not, I hope you found something which meets your needs.
