I have the strangest issue that began only recently and I have no idea how to even begin searching for a solution.

Say I have an existing page that I decide to edit. So I add some info, remove other and save my new work. It goes live, all is fine. BUT when I open the same page and click on “edit”, the page that I see in editor is actually an older version.

So if I hit update, an older page will go live. If I just navigate away, the newer version remains active. This is happening with every single post I have.

I first thought there could be an issue with cache or cookies. I have removed them multiple times and tried multiple browsers. Nothing seems to work.

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

Note: You do not need to install a caching plugin at this point just to clear a cache you don’t have. If you don’t have a caching plugin or a way to clear a server-level cache, just say so. ??

James, I was, but I immediately disabled and removed it. It was LiteSpeed Cache.

It didn’t solve the problem, however, so I saved the info and rolled back to the previous version for each page. I then manually updated all the pages to the version that I needed.

After this I update them as often as I want and the newer version is the one that’s live (at least for now).

It looks like it was a particular date that was creating the problem. Do you think it’s worth installing a caching plugin again? Because I don’t really feel like it anymore ??

If you don’t feel like you need a caching plugin, I wouldn’t worry about having one. If you start to get a few hundred visits a day, then it’s time to start considering it again.

Ah, then you probably do want some sort of cache. ??
