Before upgrading my in line sites from wordpress 4.7.9 to 4.9.4 I am testing version 4.9.4 with a locahost (via MAMP).

I am running last version of NextGen 2.2.54.

When creating a new gallery and importing several images, I get an icon warning for each image and it creates as many galleries as the number of images imported.

Each gallery have the same name (but creating directories adding -1, -2, -x… in the folder gallery) and each gallery contains only one image.

If, afterwards I add several images in one of the gallery created, I get the same icon warning, but its does import the images in the gallery.

    Switching PPH version (7.0.27 – 7.1.12 – 7.2.1) dont not change anything.

I had not this problem before upgrading wordpress version on Localhost.
So before upgrading wordpress version for my on line sites, I would like to know if it’s a known compatibility WP 4.9.4 issue with NextGen , a “using runtime HTML5” problem or a specific using Localhost issue.

Everything else is working fine so far.

Thanks for some suggestion and feed-back.

@capecross – Unfortunately, we cannot offer much in the way of support for “localhost” installations, especially if it is something we may need to look at directly.

As it is, I’ve been using MAMP (and MAMP Pro) for years with NextGEN Gallery in testing and have not had any issues with any stable release versions of WordPress, NextGEN Gallery, or PHP (aside from the ones we corrected a few releases ago).

I would suggest looking at configurations files, error_logs, etc. to see if there are any clues there.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply.

Finaly I took the risk and upgrade to WP 4.9.4, using PHP 7.2.3 with NextGen 2.2.54, and I don’t have a similar problem.
I succeeded in creating galleries and loading images.
I have no explanation why in using MAMP and localhost I have the problem.
Nothing regarding this in a debug log file.

@capecross – Thanks for the update. From past experience (not specifically with NextGEN Gallery), when MAMP doesn’t work as expected and a remote site does … rebuilt/replace the entire MAMP application and its folders/structures/etc. Rebuild from “clean” repositories to get back the work and generally all will be fine. I’ve often found that faster than spending hours/days/etc. trying to resolve an issue that no one else will “see”.
