    Hey,

Here’s my problem. I’ve used your plugin to optimize my image a couple of days ago and everything worked fine. Unfortunately, I had to perform restore of last week backup because of an unrelated issue.

Now I reinstalled wp smush plugin in order to optimize again my pictures, and it is no longer working. Whether I try to bulk 50 images at a time, or smush individual image, it starts, but does nothing (no loading, no increasing, nothing).

I thought at first that it might have been because my images were already optimized, but I tried uploading a new picture and it doesn’t work either. I tried deactivating all my plugins but wpsmush, still fails.

Any idea of what should I do?

    Thanks

  • Hi @stdesigner,

Can you possibly delete and re-install the plugin? That should fix the issue mostly.

    Cheers

Wow that was a quick response! Thanks!

Unfortunately, that didn’t work. Tried reinstalling the plugin both from WordPress plugin panel and from downloading the plugin and uploading it afterward. Same result : Bulk smash is turning without doing any compression.

I’ve also checked my pictures. Doesn’t seems to have any broken one that would maybe block the process.

@stdesigner, Cool, Can you possibly check the web console, specially the network panel in there?

When you click over the Smush button ( Manual or Bulk ), You’ll see Ajax requests in there.
You need to check the response for the Ajax request.

In case you need any help with checking that, please post back in here.

    Hey,

I’ve reinstalled the plugin this morning and hit bulk smash, and it works!

The web console / networks shows transfer and everything seems to be in order.
The issue probably had something to do with my host..

Thanks again for the quick support!

    That’s good to know @stdesigner.

And thanks a lot for leaving an awesome review, appreciate that.

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers
