• Hi,
I have recently installed WordPress on a windows server and I can’t seem to get the file uploads to work properly. I have WordPress configured to:

    – upload files into /wp-content/uploads/.
    – NOT organize by date.
    – “/wp-content/uploads/” has been set to “777” I don’t really know if this will work on ISS, but I tried anyway via ftp application.

The error I get when I attempt to upload a file is:

“The uploaded file could not be moved to c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\mysite\mysite/wp-content/uploads.
WordPress [this is where the wp-logo is]
    114″

Does anyone know what is going on with this? Or should I tell my friend to ditch the Windows box?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Mike

    warren-andrews,

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The only solution that I ever found here was to move the project to a linux server.
