Isn't Doing What Settings Say It Will When Using Customizer

More and more themes are using the Customizer built into WP now, which is a great thing, but this plugin doesn’t seem to play well with it.
The settings of this plugin allow you to set a different max width and height for images uploaded to places such as the Header or Background, which is a wonderful idea, but in my experience, it’s not working at all. My themes I use and build all utilize the Customizer though for these uploads, so my guess is that this is a problem.
I don’t know why it would be doing this, but if it’s not the Customizer functionality that’s breaking this plugin then the plugin simply doesn’t do what it says it will do. I doubt that’s the case, so this is my guess.
Anyone have thoughts or experience here / think they could help me figure this out?
