    Hi,

When customers choose Isle of Man, jersey or Guernsey as their address in checkout they are unable to pay via Paypal. PayPal shows button with no text (see screenshot1), clicking it goes back to basket.

I believe this may be because PayPal does not recognise these places as countries, it wants the country to be UK and then Isle of Man is in the county drop-down (see screenshot2).

    Thanks,
    Tom.

    Howdy Tom!

By the time the WooCommerce checkout process gets to the PayPal Checkout popup window, any address or billing information entered after that is no longer using the WooCommerce order info:

You will want to contact PayPal directly about this issue and have them look into your account setup as well.

    Hi Zach,

Thanks for the response, but you’ve misunderstood my explanation. When a customer is in The Isle of Man or the Channel Islands they never get as far as screenshot2, I included that just to show that PayPal does not think of these places as countries, which I thought may be related to the issue in some way.

This is what happens, after clicking continue to payment they are taken to Paypal but all it shows is a button with no text on it (screenshot1), clicking the button goes back to the basket so they never get an opportunity to enter their card details. I’ve also included a screen recording showing this. The recording also shows how it works fine when I change the country to UK.

Thanks for that additional explanation and the screen recording!

I tried replicating the error on my test site and didn’t have any issues when designating “Isle of Man” as the address at checkout (although I did have to adjust a few things on PayPal’s end after getting directed there for payment):

I’m not sure about your environment, but have you run a full conflict test yet? If not, this may be caused a theme or plugin conflict, and you can troubleshoot that by following the information here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

If a conflict test doesn’t help, can you please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Tickets? You may need to create an account. We will need more sensitive information from you in order to dig into this, so it would be best to help you further there. Thanks!
