is_active_sidebar problem with Display Widgets plugin

  • I love using Display Widgets for all my WP sites, but have recently noticed that if I hide the widget on certain pages, my is_active_sidebar tag does not work.

    Is it possible to having hiding a Widget actually make the sidebar inactive? There is only one widget in this sidebar.

  • I’m trying to solve this for a project. The Widget Logic plugin has fixed this issue, but it requires users to understand WordPress conditional functions, which is not ideal in my case. Studying their code might offer a solution, or maybe Widget Logic could be extended to add an easier-to-use UI…
