Is Yoast SEO and Wordfence not able to run together?

    I got back to my website after it have done some auto updates and I did only get up a white page. I had to disable every plugin to be able to access my website again. Started to activate my plugins one by one and it went well until I activated Yoast Seo and Wordfence. Yoast needed to run “SEO data optimization” (or something similar) but was not able to do it when Wordfence was running. After reading this page I deactivated Wordfence and the configuration went well. After that, I activated Wordfence and my website stopped working again.
    So for the moment, my website is not running Yoast as for me WAF is more important than SEO.
    Is it possible to run both at the same time?

    Hi @roysen

    We understand that you weren’t able to complete the SEO data optimization process while the Wordfence plugin was activated. You deactivated it, and then ran the process, and it completed. Then when you activated Wordfence again, your site stopped working.

    We know the SEO data optimization process (which is a one-time process) requires access to WordPress Rest API – https://yoast.com/help/we-couldnt-complete-the-optimization-of-your-seo-data/

    Would it be possible for you to provide us with more details on any specific error messages from the server log or any visible error messages that happened when you enabled the Wordfence plugin after completing the SEO data optimization process?

    Or if you took a screenshot of any errors from the SEO data optimization screen when it failed to complete while Wordfence was active?

    This could help so we could try and learn more about this issue.
