Is WPShower Imbalance a bluff?

If you see the difference between their demopage and my test site you’ll see something is terribly wrong.

I just don’t get it. The theme gives me the supposed ability to create featured images, but the end result is drop dead weird. I have the default image with WPShower engraved on it, the images pop to the right and aren’t aligned, and it look ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the original, with no instructions and no guide in the admin area to alleviate this ridiculous theme. Why call it a wordpress theme anyways if you probably have to know code to get it to look remotely similar to what it claims to be set as default.
