Is WP 2.5 auto directing the url?

  • Hi,

    I don’t know if anyone noticed this, but the current WP 2.5 seems to auto direct the domain to www. or non www depending on what you put in the General Settings.

    I always used htaccess redirects before this, but now it seems if I do that I end up on a redirect page.

    I want to force my URL to a https:// and don’t know whether just putting my url and blog url as https://mysite.com is already enough.

    Can anyone clarify this? Seems like the WP already forces it by itself (no need htaccess redirection)

  • that’s been the case for quite some time… not just in 2.5

    you don’t need to use htaccess for this, just set the correct option in the settings.
