• We’re an SME in the leasing industry building a bespoke system with our in house developer, however we’ve always had a WIX website which doesn’t integrate with our systems.

I want to build a new website using wordpress but we’re unsure if it’s the right fit for us – We need the new website to fully integrate with this bespoke system, which processes and exports it’s data in JSON – mainly stock levels and availability.

The bespoke system acts as our stock management and CRM system – so my question is – will WordPress be right for us?

I want this new website to be able to show current inventory levels, lease and purchase prices, in real time as the database changes with orders. Further more i’d like it to eventually host a customer area where they can see the status of their order, which is also stored in the database.

We have the option to hire a web developer but i’ve been managing the wix website and want to learn to code so thought www.remarpro.com may be a good middle ground, but if it doesnt have the functionality to intergrate, then i’ll have to look elsewhere.

    Please advise!

  • First I would suggest contacting Bespoke to see if it can be integrated easily with WP. If not, then you’ll have to hire a developer to build the integration which would be pricey.

Perhaps look into other options available for inventory management that work well in WordPress. Most inventory management programs have a way to export everything and many WP plugins have a way to import them. Or if you’re not sure, hire someone to do the research for you that is knowledgeable and honest on what’s the best course of action. Good Luck!

I’m not familiar with the term bespoke. According to google it refers to software that is custom developed to meet your specific business needs. So – I don’t think anyone on this forum would be able to tell you what it would take for your custom software to integrate with WP. Maybe consult with the bespoke developer? If you have the time you could setup a WP sandbox and try to figure things out.
