Is Wordpoints the Right Choice?

It would be possible to use WordPoints to keep track of the points for such a challenge since WordPoints allows you to award points manually, although its main strength is automatically awarding points for actions that take place on the site.

Do note that WordPoints only keeps track of points for individual users though, so if you want to keep track of points for a team, you’d have to create a WordPress user representing that team. This is something that I might change in the future, since it seems like there is a call for “team points”. But it wouldn’t be any time soon. ??
