Is user registration required for this plugin to work?

    yes – with the current version 3.5.4 only registered users are able to add pins (respectively marker or layer maps). Version 3.6 will include an API which alllows you to integrate the plugin into forms for example to add maps. A later pro release will also include a shortcode for a more easier implementation of this feature (allowing user to just config this feature in contrast to write some code when using the API)
