Is "Upload/Insert" feature related with posts/pages?

  • Is “Upload/Insert” feature related with posts/pages? Can I use it (with the wysiwyg editor) on my plugins, that isn’t related with posts/pages?
    I have a description field and I want to allow users to add images/videos and so on, but it doesn’t have any relation with posts/pages.
