Is this static page structure achievable ?

  • I envision my WordPress home page to be a static page with 10 line items listed as content

    Each line item is linked to another static page, each with line items

    Each of the line items on the 2nd tier of static pages, allows blog posts

    Or is there a better way of doing this ?

    That’s the bad part of your plan. Don’t mix Pages and posts.

    Don’t get technical; describe the final goal you’d like to achieve. Not he “how” (since you don’t know) but “what”…

    That’s pretty much the thing I’m trying to do, too (or at least I think so…).

    Most of my content will be in a static page structure, but for certain pages, there should be news/blog content of one category displayed within that page, like this:

    page with news overview and static content:
    https://www.mysite.com/page/subpage/

    blog content within a page:
    https://www.mysite.com/page/subpage/blog-article/

    Is that somehow achievable? If so, WordPress is the answer to all my needs ??
