is this possible to long to fit in title and mind boggling

  • Moderators i know this post is like another of mine i have just tried to explain in more detail and is not intenional spam many thanks.

    Sorry if this is mind boggling.

    i cant get around wp changing my slugs when there is another in the table.

    Explanation

    1 i want to have xxxx.com/tag/acne and create a category just as xxxx.com/acne.

    The problem at the moment is tags and catagorys are stored in the same table prefix terms.

    This means if i have a tag already called acne and i try to insert a category called acne wp auto changes the url.

    I hope you can understand what i mean and what im trying to achieve.

    i have created a field in table called wp_cats which is an exact copy of field terms.

    what code do i need to modify to tell wp to store categorys in this table instead of wp_terms.

    Ok i guess i will try and learn php.

    well wordpress 3.0 seems to have sorted out the way it handles the cats and tags.

    Just wish someone could have mentioned it as ive been working on this for days oh well….
