Is this possible? Category styling….

I have a client that wants a website and a blog. I was thinking of using WP as a CMS and a section of the site to be the actual blog with the comments and posts. My client’s question basically is if he can have multiple blogs or categories with different styling. He has a comedy site so for instance:

fat guy jokes
stupid celebrities
etc

Each category or section or blog (not sure how it would structurally work) would have a bit of different styling. The fat guy section may have a different look and feel, the stupid celebrities would have a static banner and or different color scheme and graphics.

Is this do-able or would the categories be subject to the original style sheet and thus look and feel of the site.

Would what my client wants be considered multiple blogs all housed under wordpress? From what I have read WP can’t do that but something like movabletype have multiple blogs.
