We love the concept and idea of hyperDB and its working is much appreciated, though experimenting the same is a little complicated process lacking sufficient documentation and use cases.

We have it installed at our local site, and would like to implement on our working server. But we are afraid it may run out of compatibility with future wordpress releases namely 5.3 update.

    Our question is simple.
Is the plugin being updated sufficiently to throw it in mainstream workflow ?
Are the concerned developers having a look at this plugin and its compatibility every now and then.

If so marking the active development would be much appreciated.

    Thanks and Regards

  • Good question!

I’d like to know too if Automatic still supports their own plugin?

This fella is getting very old and gray by now with over 2 years since the last update.

Are you guys @automattic going to update it and continue to maintain it?

Thanks for your answers in advance!

This plugin is used on WordPress.com and works great with WP 5.3, I’ve just released an updated version with some minor fixes.

Many thanks for breathing life into this plugin and instilling confidence for common good.
