Is this plugin still revelant? I had 800 spam comments from the same ip address?

    Is this plugin doing anything anymore? I had over 800 spam comments from a single ip during the period of 6 hours, how exactly does that bypass this plugin?

    @jeriksson – Spammers are always working to find new ways to get around our spam filtering. Akismet is always learning so if you come across a piece of spam that Akismet misses marking it as spam will help Akismet learn and not miss similar spam in the future.

    If you continue to see things getting through that you’ve marked as spam, please reach out to us via our contact form and we’ll get your site information and API Key and investigate the issue. It’s possible your site isn’t communicating with our API so it’s not acting on these spam you’re getting.
