    Is this plugin abandoned?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I found it wasn’t working for me in recent releases of Gmail, and I haven’t had a chance to find out why or fix it.

If it currently works for anyone else, please let us know!

I would be very surprised if there is a way to get it to work with MailPlane since I imagine they don’t support Chrome extensions.

I probably won’t have much time to work on this over the next few weeks, so please only rely on it if it currently works for your gmail.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Thanks for the reply, it looks like it is abandoned as it’s been one year since it had any updates, unfortunately it cannot be trusted on a live site due to security risks, are you going to updated or are you taking the plugin down?

    Thanks.

I don’t see those as the only two options…

If you believe there is a genuine security vulnerability, please report via the formal channels. Older versions of WordPress may still be supported. Generally, the WordPress directory flags up plugins that haven’t been updated for two years, but doesn’t block them.

Please feel free not to try this plugin if you have any concerns, but I also agree it would be at least helpful to mark this plugin as currently unverified to work with the latest Gmail.

I would like to take a closer look if I get a chance, however, and of course update the read me so that others understand it’s at the very least experimental… I would prefer it to be left available so others can tinker with the code if they are in a position to do so.

    Thanks,

    Dan

I’ve added a note to the main plugin page to say it probably won’t work… Thanks for highlighting this.
