• Updated to WP 4.1 today and reactivated the plugin and now i am getting a message under general settings that reads…

“Your license for SimpleMap has expired!
You need to renew your license now for continued support and upgrades: Renew my license now.”

I never bought this and have been using the free version… how can i get rid of this message?

This plugin has always been free and we intend on keeping it that way. We do charge $30 per year for premium support.

From looking for an answer i see i am not the only person getting this message. If the plugin is free why is it asking for a license then? and how do we stop it from asking for one?

An additional comment. Even after paying the $30 for “premium support” we still have the annoying message! How can we stop the message?

That message only appears if you have registered the plugin for Premium Support (paid) at https://simplemap-plugin.com/. The message will go away if you have a current subscription AND the URL you registered the plugin against matches the WordPress URL. If you have purchased premium support then please contact us via our website and not via these forums.

Again, this plugin is completely free, the support is not. If you want community support then use these forums. If you want support from us then please go to https://simplemap-plugin.com/ and purchase the premium support and then use the contact form on our website or the Premium Support widget inside the plugin.

Not so. Just installed it to have a look. As soon as I went into settings the nag screen about license expired is there. Never licensed. Just installed. There it is.
