  • w3tc is a local (and/or cdn) cache tool not a tool that distributes personal data. I remember it had a bug back then 0.9.5(?) that logged your location on ganalytics. Not sure if it is fixed since i am using w3tc-fixed community version which fixed it way back.

    Hello,
    I have the same question.
That the plugin is a local cache tool don’t mean that it necessarly meets the requirements of the GDPR.
Is there an official data protection policy for the plugin?
In case of the GDPR it is important if personal data is processed (see GDPR art. 4 – definitions). That means if the plugin is processing personal data like especially ip-adresses or it is setting cookies, this is to mention in a data protection policy of the cached website.
For me it’s not really clear, that the plugin doesn’t process any personal data at all.
