Is this plugin dead?

Does anyone know if this will continue to be supported? I see there are unanswered queries here…
I despise the WP Media way of handling images, and know that Gutenberg is coming up, so far it’s about on par with WP Media in my eyes.
If the dev could just pop by and say one way or the other, would be appreciated.
